The SP555R V from Mountfield is self-propelled with a full width rear roller for a traditional striped finish. Offering a large cutting width of 21 inches with a power drive that enables you to cover more ground with less effort than a hand-propelled machine. The SP555R V is fitted with a Honda GCVx200 engine. 

Incorporating a twinclip rotary cutting blade which cuts the grass at 2 heights. This technology allows for improved cutting and collecting performance of 20% compared to traditional straight cutter blades. Featuring cyclone collection system which packs more clippings in to the grass collector. resulting in less time mowing and overall better results are achieved. 

With 8 cutting height positions. ranging through 13-65mm which can be easily adjusted with the central lever to ensure you choose the perfect cut for your lawn. It is recommended to start with the highest setting and gradually work down to avoid damaging the grass and and for the best cut and finish. The innovative design of the handlebars allows the user to adjust the height in a single movement. 

The hybrid cutter decks are formed from a single piece of pressed steel which is then galvanised for durability. The chassis stiffness has been strengthened by double. The inclusion of aluminium components to areas of the mower where rigidity and strength are crucial including the grass discharge chute allows for the hybrid steel/aluminium chassis.

The heavy duty stepless variator transmission has been designed around a larger cone that lets the user control the travelling speed of the mower without having to apply much pressure to the drive lever. The transmission is less sensitive to wear and provides more torque than on previous models.
