The Essential range from Stiga offers a range of compact and easy to use garden tractors for superb value. The Series 3 Tornado tractors include either manual or hydrostatic transmission featuring Stiga engines. 

The Tornado 398M is a side discharge machine which is recommended for use in areas where collection isn’t required. Ideal for areas where the grass is overgrown. Grass cuttings are laid out to the side of the mower in neat rows where they can be left to wilt back naturally.

Featuring a 98cm (38 inch) cutter deck with 2 blades. the Series 3 Tornado 398M deck featured 7 cutting height settings that can be adjusted through 25-80mm. It is recommended to start at the highest setting and gradually work down for the best cut and finish. The rear wheel drive and 18 inch tyres give added traction. 

A mulch plug is available to purchase separately as an optional extra. This allows for the cuttings to be mulched into tiny pieces and blown back on to the grass where they virtually disappear. These tiny pieces then provide additional moisture and nutrients for a healthier looking lawn. Mulching is particularly beneficial during hot. dry conditions. 

Recommended for areas up to 4500sqm.
